My partner and I decided to buy together a home two years ago. He is unable to meet his financial obligations, and is considering to declare himself in bankruptcy. I can continue paying for my share, but definitely cannot pay for his. Is there any way I can escape from this loan without having a bad credit history? Any tips in how to avoid foreclosure or bankruptcy?
I bought a forclosed home and paid cash. My “Money Pit” needed and still needs many repairs. I’m out of money and need a loan. I’m on a fixed disability income from the Gov’t. and my credit score is REALLY bad. I’ve been battling Crohn’s disease, Lupus, Sarcoidosis, Asthma and a few other chronic illnesses for several years spending alot of time in hospitals, and too much money on Doctors and medicines. I get NO help.
I don’t qualify for public assistance because I was always too ill to have kids.

We stepped into some really bad family crisis that basically maxed two of our credit cards, the business we own is also in some debt and there is no more work. Our house payments are about 950dlls monthly (and we have been paying extra always) and we owe 70,000 in our mortgage. I would like to consolidate my debt by taking a home equity loan for about 40,000 but with the economy the way it is I am not sure if they will loan me the money or if i qualify?
What are my chances of getting a mortgage with a poor credit history? Is it easier to get a mortgage with poor credit than it is to get credit cards, auto loans, etc.? Are mortgage companies more lenient?
